Forest Friday 29.01.16
What luck – the wind died down and the sun appeared as we ventured outside this Friday. The children enjoyed creating artwork using white porcelain tiles and finding natural materials to glue to it in a decorative way. We found lots of interesting things in our wildlife area such as crispy oak leaves; hazel catkins; snowdrop petals and even skeleton leaves! Other children wanted to make a camp fire and cook magical potions on it. Towards the end of the session, some children discovered the bendy properties of willow and wanted to make bows and arrows (something we’ll have to continue in our next session!
